Our friendship movement `www.friendstosupport.org’ – a voluntary blood donors’ initiative to reach every needy person in time, will complete 3 years on 14th November 2008.

We take this opportunity to congratulate all Voluntary Blood Donors and thank everyone who reposed faith in the Vision of Friends2support.org (F2S) and extended his/her endless support. Generous timely blood donations and awareness initiatives by thousands of volunteers all over the country has made this website synonym with VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION.

F2S launched on 14th Nov. 2005 in India by 5 IT Professionals as a social responsibility/service to our community has reached a plane where thousands of volunteers can proudly say as a team we are playing a catalyst’s role in bringing a revolutionary change in Blood Donors’ Digital Information system in India. Every passing day had been strengthening our Unity by 20,000 of the registered volunteers donating blood to fellow Indians irrespective of their Caste, Creed or Religion.

During these initial years 50,000 people voluntarily registered as blood donors with the website despite several teething problems and those 20,000 who donated blood during emergencies either once or more number of times as soon as a request came from those browsing this website need a word of appreciation for their act.
On this third anniversary Let us all come together and work towards bringing more smiles each day.

There have been several occasions when F2S friends have taken self-initiative and conducted events for spreading awareness.

The 3rd anniversary of FriendsToSupport will be marked in more ways than one!

• FriendsToSupport - Candle March
  The volunteers in Pune are planning to conduct a Candle March on 15th November, 2008, Saturday. This event is to create awareness about voluntary blood donation.
  
  It is a matter of pride that Pune has the maximum number of registered donors in Maharashtra. To make this event successful, Pune volunteers and blood donors are joining hands and working as a team. Contribution of an individual will lead to Success of team and thereby Our Event. Your time is the most precious donation for this movement.

• FriendsToSupport - Extempore Competition
  We are conducting extempore competition in Post-graduate colleges in Andhra Pradesh. This event will be conducted on the premises of the colleges with the assistance of the college NSS (National Service Scheme) coordinators. The event will be conducted in the month of October, 2008.
  
  All the participants will be awarded with a certificate by the College/University and FriendsToSupport. Winners at this competition will be awarded with a Memento and certificate by the college and FriendsToSupport jointly.

• FriendsToSupport - Where Ideas Grow
  We are organising an Online Event to help us reach out to more number of needy people in India through this website. We welcome your opinion/ideas in furthering this cause of `Voluntary Blood Donation' in the form of an essay or article on "Your understanding of FriendsToSupport motto and Your Vision To improve its services". This event will provide you a platform to realise your dream of doing something for the society.
  
  Apart from this;

1. We will acknowledge your participation with a "FriendsToSupport certificate".
2. Three best write-ups will be rewarded Rs.1,500; Rs.1,000 and Rs.500 respectively.
3. Ten best entries will be rewarded with "FriendsToSupport memento and Certificate".
4. Best article/essay will be put on the website and also reward him/her with a FriendsToSupport T-shirt, FriendsToSupport memento and certificate".
5. A link would also be provided to all other essays/articles that our team decides worthy of public display along with name and address.

"Friends2support" is started with a desire to help our society.

• The reason behind starting "friends2support" is to show our little support and we hope we can inspire others in the process.
  
  
• "Friends2support" is started with a vision of child education and our mission is to improve minimum resources to the schools.
  
  
• We want to help students who are facing troubles in continuing their education.
  
  
• Nowadays many people are struggling with information about Blood donors. Our aim here is to provide some information about blood donors and give support to blood seekers.

...And we know we have to face many challenges to follow this process but nevertheless we are not going to get dejected with any sort of impediments and we will continue with our ongoing support till the very end...
