Well last evening(16Sep08) i received a call from Friends2Support that a patient needed A+ blood @ Metro Heart Inst Noida. Thanks for considering me for this job. I confirm them that no problem i'll be there @ 7:00 in morning, and please get me free before 8:15, So that I can catch Cab for my Office. You can understand as a Software Professional it's too hard to manage time. But this was a Holy task so that i got up 5:00Am in morning and aftr dressing up i reached the Metro @ sharp 7:00. There after half an hour wait, the asst said we don't need blood now, we only need 2 Units.
I can't tell you, how much i disappointed by hearing this. Even i called thrice in night that i wana donate and also wana leave for office @ 8:00AM. They assured me for that,
I can understand, it's happen sometimes. But i felt so sad. I don't know is it Hospital's fault or the family.
Important message from FriendsToSupport : Humble request to the users to inform a donor well in advance if they do not need blood anymore. The donors also need to ensure the same thing in advance.Also, FriendsToSupport does NOT call anyone, FriendsToSupport is just a platform to bring Requestors and Donors together.

My uncle was in CMC Vellore and me, my brother and aunt was alone there. My uncle was hospitalized and he needed more units of blood then we could give. In such a circumstances I searched FriendsToSupport and I found Sudhan Ramalingam who came to his hometown Vellore from Chennai where he works and he readily came to donate blood although we do not know each other. I must thank FriendsToSupport as also Sudhan for helping my family in that hour of crisis.
